Carbon Reduction Plan
Commitment to achieving net zero
PinPoint Data Science Ltd. is committed to achieving net zero emissions by 2050.
This Carbon Reduction Plan (CRP) will cover PinPoint’s baseline year (2025-26), setting clear targets for reducing GHG emissions. As an entirely remote business, with no premises, no vehicle fleet, with our only products being software as service, Pinpoint already has a relatively small carbon footprint.
Baseline emissions footprint
Baseline emissions are a record of the greenhouse gases that have been produced in the past and were produced prior to the introduction of any strategies to reduce emissions. Baseline emissions are the reference point against which emissions reduction can be measured.
Baseline year: 2025-2026 (also the current reporting year as this is PinPoint’s first CRP)
Additional details relating to the baseline emissions calculations: This is made up of scope 3 emissions only from the following categories 1. Purchased Goods & Services (35.582 tCO2e), 2. Capital Goods (0.783 tCO2e), 6. Business Travel (35.767 tCO2e), 7. Employee Commuting including working from home costs (6.511 tCO2e), 8. Upstream Leased Assets (0.637 tCO2e). Pinpoint has no scope 1 or 2 emissions as our only product is software as a service and we have no premises, additionally all other scope 3 categories than those listed above do not apply.
Baseline year emissions:
Scope 1: 0 tCO2e
Scope 2: 0 tCO2e
Scope 3: 79.280 tCO2e
Total emissions: 79.280 tCO2e
Pinpoint is a small and growing company, therefore significant growth in terms of employees and international activities may mean measuring carbon emissions per employee is a more appropriate measure.
Total emissions per employee: 5.285 tCO2e (15 employees as of 2025-2026)
Emissions reduction targets
We aim for carbon emissions to decrease by 25% over the next five years to 59.46tCO2e by 2031-2032.
