Peer-reviewed results of PinPoint’s 5-year NHS service evaluation are now available to share.
5 years, 5 NHS trusts, 170 GP practices, and 16,481 volunteers – the results of PinPoint’s real-world evaluation in the NHS are finally here, published in Mayo Clinic Proceedings: Digital Health.
9 different algorithms were assessed in NHS urgent suspected cancer pathways, covering 98% of all symptomatic cancer referrals in the NHS. 5 showed particularly strong results and are being progressed for implementation in the NHS and through private healthcare channels now: the five are Upper Gastrointestinal, Lower Gastrointestinal, Gynaecological, Head & Neck, and Lung.
The tests offer an affordable, uncomplicated and non-invasive means of screening symptomatic patients when they first present with symptoms. Even when symptoms are still vague and non-conclusive, PinPoint assesses underlying biological risk and supports quick and accurate decision making in how we manage cancer risk.
